Dr.
Vince Stravino
Dr.
Stravino is one of the people from days gone by who was very
instrumental in helping and encouraging the development of the
Northwestern Lehigh Wrestling Program on both the midget and varsity
levels. In addition to
taking an active role by getting down on the mats and coaching some of
the very successful midget teams at Northwestern, Dr. Stravino also
served Coach Dave Hawk and the Tigers in the role of team physician.
As a dedicated physician, wrestling coach and fan, Dr. Stravino
attended to the wrestling and health concerns of not only Northwestern
wrestlers, but also to the needs of all wrestlers as evidenced by his
working both the Centennial League and District XI Tournaments.
For serving as a coach, doctor, fan, and even chauffeur for
wrestlers on their way to tournaments, Dr. Stravino was inducted into
the Northwestern Wrestling Hall of Fame.
