Hall of Fame

David Hawk (as coach 1972-80)

In eight years, he compiled a win/loss record of 82-32.  He coached seven consecutive winning seasons 1973-1980.  In 1976-77, Coach Hawk's team was Centennial League champs, Centennial League Tournament champs and District

Champs.  That was enough to have him selected as the District Coach of the Year.  In 1977-78, his team recaptured the District title and he coached three teams to second place team finishes in other District tournaments.  In 1978-79, coach Hawk achieved the ultimate high school wrestling mark as a coach when his team won the State Team title.  Other state team finishes Coach Hawk had were as follows: fourth place, sixth place, and a third place team finish.  Hawk had fifteen individual District champs, twelve individual Regional champs, four individual seconds in States, two individual thirds in States and five State champs.
